2.1 TON HYDRAULIC SPRING COMPRESSOR 150MM-240MM
This hydraulic spring compressor is designed to accommodate a wide variety of springs—including both left- and right-hand wound coils, such as those found on the Nissan Qashqai, as well as more complex shapes like those on BMW and Mercedes C-Class vehicles.
Its unique construction allows all four support arms to be adjusted in both height and width, ensuring a secure hold on the spring and preventing slippage during compression.
Each of the four jaws can rotate freely. As the spring compresses and the coil angles shift, the jaws maintain full contact by adjusting accordingly. An integrated orange safety strap, fixed at the rear of the unit, is threaded through the spring from top to bottom. If a worn spring fails under compression, the strap helps retain the broken coils and dissipates the released energy.
A key time-saving feature is the ability to compress a spring directly on the vehicle, aiding in the separation of the hub from the strut. The unit can be wheeled to the vehicle, where the lower arms are positioned under the wheel arch and around the base of the spring. As the arms are raised hydraulically, the spring compresses, lifting the strut and allowing the hub to be pushed downwards—effectively separating the two components. This process is reversed during reassembly and eliminates the need to dismantle suspension parts or deal with corroded fasteners.
The unit remains stable when upright and can be tilted back onto two rubber wheels for easy transport or storage when not in use.
