FORD TRANSIT 2014+ NEW TYPE BALL JOINT REPLACEMENT SET WITH BOLT MOUNTING LUGS
This ball joint set is designed specifically for Ford Transit models from 2014 onwards, where the steering knuckle ball joints are secured with bolt on mounting lugs. These lugs leave no flat surface on the knuckle to press against, meaning conventional tools cannot be used. The set includes a special holesaw cutter that removes the bolt mounting lugs cleanly, creating a safe and accessible surface for pressing out the old ball joint.
Once the lugs are removed, the job is carried out directly on the vehicle using the C-frame press block 91489258 together with either the 18 ton or 22 ton hydraulic cylinder. The system applies controlled pressing force straight into the ball joint housing without stressing the joint threads, making removal fast, clean and effective even on heavily corroded joints.
