Drive Shaft Puller From Gearbox

Separating the drive shaft from the gearbox can be very difficult due to the retaining clip being seized. If a lever is used, this can damage or even crack the gearbox housing causing expensive repairs. In most cases access with a lever is limited and the drive shaft can not be pulled squarely.

The claw is hinged on one side allowing it to be located behind the driveshaft and then tightened for a firm grip. The 5kg slide hammer is then attached to the claw via a hook and force is then applied to remove the shaft.

Using this system allows the shaft to be extracted squarely and the shock of the slide hammer helps release the retaining clip inside the gearbox.
